Response to Budget Impact Test threshold consultation
The BIA has responded to the consultation on the Budget Impact Test (BIT) threshold. We welcome the proposal to increase the BIT threshold as this will help to ensure timely patient access to innovative medicines.
In our response, we ask for greater transparency on the rationale for the proposed new £40m figure and recommend some changes to the methodology and application of the BIT.
