Closed Loop Medicine’s Board of Directors determined a strategic business need to appoint an internationally experienced US-based independent Non-Executive Chair to CLM’s Board. As part of a strategic engagement, CLM partnered with PIR International to carry out this appointment. As a result of an extensive search exercise, drawing on its board level network across the US and deep sector expertise, led by Stuart Penney and Sally Hope, PIR International identified and presented a choice selection of highly experienced industry Non-Executive Chair profiles. Subsequently resulting in the appointment of an experienced and distinguished executive and investor, Luba Greenwood, as Non-Executive Chair in September 2024.
Comment from Luba Greenwood: “I have worked with many search firms globally and the PIR International team and Sally in particular have stood out as one of the most professional and knowledgeable firms I have worked with. Their understanding of the market and the client needs was superb and they took great care to ensure that I was not only a strong fit as a director given my qualifications and experience but I was also a cultural fit. Sally and PIR International went to great lengths to understand my background and interests and my approach to working with management teams and companies. I would highly recommend PIR International and Sally for any searches and look forward to engaging them for searches in my companies. The healthcare and tech fields are hard and competitive to recruit for, and PIR International and Sally’s knowledge of the space and high-quality network sets them apart. Moreover, their attention to every detail and professionalism throughout the process is unparalleled.”
Comment from Hakim Yadi, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Closed Loop Medicine: “Working with PIR International for a second time on an independent board appointment was a pleasure. Stuart and Sally worked incredibly well to understand our needs and developed a bespoke approach to help us identify a high-calibre US-based independent Chair. As usual, the team at PIR International made our job particularly difficult because of the quality and calibre of the final candidates they were able to present. I continue to recommend working with Stuart and Sally to anyone seeking an appointment at the executive or board level in the life sciences and technology sector.”
