New paper from UCL’s Policy Impact Unit on sustainable medicine manufacturing
UCL’s Policy Impact Unit, who work closely with researchers in VaxHub Sustainable, VaxHub Global and the FTHM Hub, have recently published a position paper which explores how a focus on sustainable medicines manufacturing in the Government’s new Industrial Strategy could unlock economic growth, reduce the environmental impact of the NHS, and better prepare the UK against the threat of disease.
The launch of the new Industrial Strategy Green Paper presents a unique window of opportunity for the UK to capitalise on the significant potential for economic growth and increased national resilience offered by sustainable medicines manufacturing.
This position paper proposes some key considerations and recommendations on how to improve the sustainability of the medicines manufacturing ecosystem in the UK through the new industrial strategy.
