Partner with Imperial College London: Host a 6-month MSc research project
The MSc Genes, Drugs, and Stem Cells – Novel Therapies programme at Imperial College London is a prestigious program within the faculty of medicine. It attracts a diverse group of more than 70 students worldwide, selected based on their academic achievements and relevant undergraduate experiences. The programme focuses on advanced therapeutic development, covering areas such as gene and nucleic acid-based therapies, regenerative medicine, and pharmacology with an emphasis on the drug discovery pipeline. Students receive comprehensive training in a range of routine laboratory techniques. They are also introduced to R programming to enhance their data analysis skills and have the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary education. They also benefit from industry-led lectures and workshops conducted by experts, gaining insights into real-world applications. The program ensures that students are equipped with essential research methodologies for independent research.
We are seeking placements for 6 months research projects in industry, SMEs and start-ups for our capable students and would appreciate opportunities to discuss placements with you (see contact details below). The projects can involve dry and/or wet lab-based activities related to all aspects of drug development in the broadest sense.
Projects have to be hypothesis-driven and have to include data analysis components in line with requirements for a level 7 Masters’ degree.
Projects will run from early March to August 2025. We require short project proposals by early December at the latest. You will be able to interview students in January with final project allocations taking place at the end of January. As the project form states, the MSc degree students cannot be paid while working in your company.
To address any confidentiality concerns, we have a draft student placement agreement including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) for you to review.
We greatly appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss any potential projects in more detail.
