London Life Sciences Week 2024 brings global investors to the UK with 50+ events over 4 days
London, UK – 15 November 2024: The BioIndustry Association (BIA), MedCity, and London & Partners announce the launch of London Life Sciences Week (LLSW), celebrating the UK’s thriving life sciences ecosystem and bringing together international investors, industry leaders, and cutting-edge innovators.

London Life Sciences Week is an increasingly important moment of connection for the global biotech community. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet key players and make new business connections. For US-based investors, it fits well in the calendar ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday and it’s great to see key players from our ecosystem and across Europe hosting a stellar line up of varied events – now easily accessible via our new website.
Running from 17–21 November 2024, LLSW centres around the invite-only Jefferies European Healthcare Conference, which attracts over 800 international senior leaders from life sciences and investor firms to London.
LLSW 2024 takes place against the backdrop of the UK government's recent announcement to reform the pension system, aiming to channel investments into UK growth sectors. This includes introducing new financial players to the investment landscape through the Mansion House Compact. The BIA remains committed to driving its campaign to unlock pension funds for investment in the innovative life sciences and biotech sectors, building on the significant progress already achieved.

On 19 November, the BIA and BioCentury will co-host a high-profile discussion on biotech's future challenges, alongside numerous other industry discussions, networking opportunities, and thought-leadership sessions.
