Policy recommendations for deep biotech
Based on extensive member engagement over the past year, the BIA has developed policy asks to enable deep biotech companies to start up and scale in the UK. The recommendations on regulation, finance, and infrastructure indicate what public policy levers and Government support are needed to make significant progress for UK deep biotech.
- Regulation: Develop clear, competitive and collaborative regulatory frameworks.
- Finance: Enable businesses with ringfenced public funding, guaranteed R&D tax relief, Government incentives, and patient capital.
- Infrastructure: Improve the affordability, accessibility and availability of UK infrastructure.
