Shellworks is an innovative start-up dedicated to the elimination of plastic waste though microbial produced alternatives.

Shellworks' vision is to break the reliance on the petroleum industry by building a new standard of packaging that is performant, cost-competitive, and truly sustainable. By leveraging naturally occurring polyesters grown by bacteria, Shellworks is developing workable and scalable solutions that can biodegrade in any natural environment without the need of special conditions. Their diverse team of experienced scientists, engineers and designers, coupled with a fully integrated pilot line allows us to address challenges from many different angles and helps drive our mission of developing and deploying new bio-based polymeric technologies.
