*Early-stage companies: Companies that have raised less than £5 million and with sales of less than £2 million a year. We define emerging companies as those in the early stages of developing therapeutics, diagnostics or biological platforms. We don't include consultants, trainers and other service providers in this category, even if they are at an early stage.
PAYMENT OF FEES
By completing the event registration form, the attendee is committing to attend and therefore pay for the applicable amount (complying with the cancellation policy below).

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All cancellations must be made in writing by email to Sam Care at [email protected].
- Bookings cancelled on or after 20 February will remain fully payable.
- Cancellations made before then will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee.
We encourage you to send a colleague in your place where possible.
Should we cancel, postpone the event or change its format to a virtual or hybrid one, you will be entitled to cancel your registration and to receive a full refund. The deadline to request this cancellation and refund will be communicated if and when this change happens.
DATA COLLECTION AND USE
Your full name, company name, email address, dietary requirements and telephone number will be collected upon registration and used to contact you with regard to this event. Your data will be processed and stored as per our privacy statement: https://www.bioindustry.org/privacy-statement.html
Your full name, company name and dietary or access requirements might be shared with the venue if required by them in order to allow you access to their premises and in order to accommodate any dietary or special assitance requirements you might have provided.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO
We take photographs at all of our events and occasionally record videos. Photos and videos are often used for marketing purposes (e.g.: on LinkedIn, direct marketing emails, etc). If you do not wish for photos or a video of you to be made public, please let us know by emailing [email protected]
DELEGATE LIST
At many of our events, we distribute delegates lists to attendees. These lists consist of the full name and company name of all registered attendees, but do not include contact details such as email addresses. We don’t allow third parties to use these lists for promotional purposes without your express consent. If you don’t want to be on the delegate list for an event, please let us know by emailing [email protected]

What does your role at BIA involve?
Sam leads the events team at BIA, working on developing and expanding BIA's extensive events programme as well as evolving BIA's existing sector-leading events. Sam overseas the end-to-end event logistics, marketing strategy, planning and execution of the events programme and is also responsible for building exciting event supporter opportunities for BIA members. She also helped establish the Women in Biotech mentoring programme and is responsible for the smooth running of the scheme.
Previous experience & achievements
Sam has extensive experience in events and business development roles, having previously worked at the Chartered Governance Institute developing and delivering their event & training programme. She also worked on a joint project with Sport England helping to establish the Sports Governance Academy and has previously worked in recruitment. Sam has a degree in Business Studies from the University of Liverpool.
