With talks from some of our collaborators, including the Natural History Museum, BBRO and Agilent Technologies, the programme has been designed to show the diverse ways to engage with EI.
- Technology Development: Showcasing examples of technologies developed collaboratively, and their applications, from crop improvement to microbiome research.
- Knowledge Exchange and Transferring Skills: Demonstrating the impact of staff exchanges and student placements for capacity building and knowledge transfer.
- Innovation Showcase: Featuring innovation projects between EI and our collaborators, from studentships to joint ventures.
EI Innovate events foster valuable conversations between academia and industry, helping us to build strategic partnerships and learn more about needs of our stakeholders. An example of an exciting collaboration that resulted from a previous EI Innovate is the Hybrid Wheat Initiative, which connects 25 breeding companies and research institutes worldwide, to resolve the critical challenge of hybrid wheat.
We will have a dedicated networking session designed to bring together delegates and EI researchers with similar interests. At registration, you will be asked to choose 1-2 topics of interest from:
- Omics technologies and bioengineering
- Software, tools and data science
- Genomics for breeding
- Genomics for health
