Thanks for sending through this [mRNA report] - really interesting and useful piece of work. These sorts of maps and analysis of what we have (and what we don’t have) will be very helpful. As you know, they certainly were during Covid.

UK Minister for Science, Research and Innovation
The TechBio UK conference demonstrates the key role the BIA plays in ensuring that the momentum in data-driven discovery in UK life sciences continues, raising awareness of both the opportunities and challenges of this emerging sector, celebrating the success stories of innovators and bringing together our industry.

We are delighted to have been chosen as the BIA's charity partnership of the year for 2024. Only 70p is spent per person affected by hearing loss on ‘ear’ research in the UK – this compares to £14 spent on ‘eye’ research per person affected by sight loss. RNID is focused on closing the gap and working with partners like the BIA and its members to increase awareness, interest, and support of this emerging therapeutic area both now, and in the future.

The care and thought that went into the choice of speakers/panel and the topics - I think your membership feels listened to and that is so important in a professional association.

I circulated the TechBio report to friendly journalists as an FYI to reinforce our credibility and that went down quite well. In particular, it opened up some conversations with trade press for some background conversations (which are notoriously hard to get!). We also used it with potential investors to build our reputation.
